I had a choice between Jime and King, Milner / Curtis / Normann. Picked the worst two of the lot. One day, I'll get it right. Thought I'd make headway on No.1, but they made the 2 correct moves. At least they blew their cash on Ronny and Rom, and the pts too, with Capt & Vice. Time for Kane to come in I think. Dallas or Firpo look good too. KDB pretty cheap, but got other fires to put out. Lots of CHE DEF dropping their big score next week, so time to grab one of them. I've got Rom, but, like Bruno, his price is irrelevant since barring a bad injury, I don't plan on selling. Did consider CR7 but his price was too steep.
'arry and Kev time, methinks. After last year, I'm looking to get more long termers in earlier and preserve trades for the last third. Arry for sure, but my Reece is going to plummet in price as his 36 leaves and he's left with 0 & 1. Gotta dump his arse to make the cash to get KDB the following week. I thought about going straight to Rudiger or Dias, even if they're going to drop in price, but need the cash, so will have to waste another transfer. But will likely save $3m, so hopefully worth it. Salah and Antonio seem undroppable for me. Kane is cheap, and has NEW, so he has to come in. No room for CR7 and Lukaku. Lukaku with the better run so he's next in line. But unless Antonio gets injured, don't want to drop him. Gets good misc pts even when he doesn't score, but always has that high ceiling. I see him is another Big Gun.

Hi VSB, I saw that you’d set up a rivalry.
Congratulations on the good start. You’re exactly where you need to be at this stage of the season.
There’s some strong competition as I notice that the guy who finished third last season is currently in the same position this season. He’s also been watching my team - not that I think he will have gained much from that this season!
The lower starting prices led to me altering my strategy. I decided to go easier during the team-building phase, figuring that I could get where I wanted in fewer steps. That now looks like a mistake, although I'm still persisting with it!
Having said that, 2019-20 was a pivotal season for me. I had a bad start with the worst run of injuries I’ve encountered whilst playing fantasy football. I was just inside the top 200 after 22 game weeks, but a change in strategy led to me finishing in 17th position - it was the same strategy that I used last season. Even against established teams, you can still make good progress. This game will always be about decision-making.
The changes to the points scoring system were unexpected. It's harder to read the game now, but I like the fact that certain players get rewarded that were overlooked before e.g. the best defensive midfielders, playmakers, etc. I assume they lowered the price multiplier so that people wouldn't be put off by the changes.
Best of luck!

Kane is cheap, and has NEW, so, as you say, he has to come in. The Saudis can't buy a new defence quite yet.
Guess you'll have to get rid of Greasy-Reecey. I've similar price problems with Fat-Shaw and Varane, but will likely not worry too much about the dosh and just go with the flow. The luxury of being way off anywhere significant... feels less pressured to get it right all the time... or even much of the time!
Of course, International Week injuries could scupper all the best planning.

Best of luck! Hey mate, Great to hear from you. The guy you're talking about is Chris (Pressure Point). A very good player and one from Super Coach Scores (SCS). Stats based and very disciplined so always does well. I made a few stupid decisions and had a little bad luck, but happy where I am. Got good squad value so can get all the big guns, but out of sync with when I can get the players I want. It's a long game and there's always opportunities to catch up to the peloton. Sometimes the leaders are too worried about their nearest rivals, that they don't make those gut moves. I love the new pts scoring system. Reminds me of the old Yahoo game. I've always kept an eye on those stats, so I felt I had an advantage to get a good start. Certainly has made it more interesting. Before it was just players from the 'Big 4' and was all about CS. Now we're looking at players from all teams. Antonio looks a better option than Lukaku or CR7. Even Toney looks great. I don't think the price multiplier has changed. Thanh from SCS has always had his own spreadsheet and he reckons it's normal. It always starts low, to give everyone a chance to 'catch' the popular players, but then it slowly starts to increase. He says it's about 8% off normal but will get there in 3 weeks. Cheers for coming around. Good luck to you also. I've no doubt we'll see you top 10 soon. Still very early days and jumps can be very high in a week. VSB

Had a good week with 140 points. Not good enough to gain points against VSB though. One positive is that I got KDB and Kane in the right week

I can't get anywhere with it, this year. just hopeless. Romelu should help you out a bit …He didn't, but it didn't matter... after a season of struggle have managed to get into the Top 50 with a few rounds and some trades left. Quit trying to win any H2H leagues a while back as was too far behind, which has helped in giving me a single goal to focus on.
Thought about Maddison in the BGW just gone, but passed... probably shouldn't've.

Maddison was and might still be a good option in coming weeks given all those games in hand I am very close to top 10 overall but only down to 3 transfers left…. Hopefully no injuries would kick in as I still have to bring in Saka and Mount when time is right

Hindsight is a great thing. LEI are still in Europe so although they have lots of fixtures remaining, they'll rotate. Plus they break down more often than a Lada so long term, will likely disappoint. Spurs and Gunners have done well lately. Probably still the ones to have a long with City and Pool. Will likely keep my transfers to target CHE assets if they prove worth having. Lots of uncertainty with them.

So happy to be in top ten for the first time Could go with Mount this coming week, but would probably wait until week 37…. Hopefully his price would not go up too much by then
