Hey billisiv (name sounds Greek). Welcome to YFF.
Firstly, never play the stockmarket. You panic easily.
Secondly, 'experts' create hype to mislead the masses. Listen to experts, but question their arguments.
Thirdly, any new additions to the Premier League always take time to settle in. Rarely do they hit the ground running like Bruno did 2nd half of last season.
Fourthly, good players like Werner and Havertz won't get 2 pts a week for 76 pts in a season. They're too good. The more they fail, the closer they are to a big haul. Be patient with guys like that.
With that out of the way, lets discuss your team.
There are so may names there that shouldn't be playing EPL, let alone be in your FPL team.
Sako (or do you mean Sakho?), Johnson, Onomah, Adams, Romeu. WTF?
Fifthly, never get two starting GKs with the idea that you'll rotate and get the good with the good.
Clinical studies have shown that you end up with the bad and the bad.
Look at the first 3 GWs so far.
GW 1 = 2 home team wins, 6 away wins.
GW 2 = 5 home team wins, 5 away wins.
GW 3 = 2 home team win, 6 away wins, 2 draws.
You're actually better off rotating to start the away GKs if you do.
The old trick is to grab a 4.5 GK, hope they get 135 pts thru the season, and a 4.0 who might start if there's an injury to the 1st choice GK.
That way, you only use up 8.5 units for your GKs, and with luck (and sometimes planning), you might end up with 2 GKs.
Martinez, Ryan and McCarthy are your options this season. Button, Walton and Peacock-Farrell probably your choices for 4.0.
Your defence. TAA is a must. Saiss should be good. Worth a punt. Justin is good too.
Mitchell might get you some mileage for another month. Ride him for as long as you can and then switch to Ferguson if he returns.
Quite a few 4.5s worth a punt. A Villan could be good. Bench them the next 2 weeks and start TAA, Saiss and Justin, then rotate the Villan with Saiis/Justin when they have a bad fixture.
Or.... you can be different and go premium Pool defence. Have TAA with Robbo, or VVD, or screw it, get all 3.
They get 200 pts each on average every season (16pt avg per week). Not a bad return for 21 units. In fact, GW2 they returned 20 and last week 19.
Now if you go with 3 Pool in defence, you can't have Salah or Mane.
But no problem. You only pay big bucks for captaincy prospects. There's lots of others for that.
KDB, Sterling, Bruno, maybe eventually Bale, Werner. There won't be a shortage of good captaincy options is my point.
Bargains. Soucek for 5.0 looks great. 5.5s are tricky. I like Podence given Wolves have a great run for a few more weeks.
KDB and Bruno seem musts. When they hit top speed, you want to be on them.
Up front. You can follow the crowd with DCL. Bamford is still good value.
Mitro is always an options. Ings and Jime look good this week. Jime looks better and has a longer good run.
Don't worry about Vardy. 5 SOT for 5 goals, 4 from PKs. It's unsustainable. Plus we know he has a niggly injury.
It might be OK this week and then after the break, but how long before he breaks down?
Try have some balance in the team. By that, I'm talking about someone you can straight swap to if needed.
At worst, 2 transfers gets you the player you want but with a decent 2nd player. You don't want fillers. Players who fit the price, but aren't likely to get you more than 2 pts.
Given we're in the midst of a pandemic, also brace yourself for players to be found positive or deemed close contacts and be out for 2-3 weeks.
Have a deep bench. At least 2 starters, but with Mitchell, you might get 3.
How about this one? SHould leave 3 units ITB so you can decide next week who to upgrade?
Or just go Mitro to Ings/Jime this week and hope they haul big.
