Not a rate my team thread per se, but thoughts and ramblings over the course of a season
Looking at something along the lines of an attacking forward line, I initially went with cheapy strikers up front and a 3-5-2 with a cheapy pick Davis, but thought a couple of premium picks looked good on paper, certainly if Chelsea assets manage to hit the ground running. Mitrovic looks too good to keep out at 6m, Martial in at 9m and Werner 9.5m complete the forward line.
Depending on first week fixtures Mo will come in with KDB and Greenwood looks value if he carries on like he started end of the season, Soucek looks value too @5m, not too much around at 5.5m that gets close to Saint-Maximin, except for maybe Armstrong, but Saint passes my eye test so I'll go with that, every time I see him on MOTD he's shooting like a demon and I'll have some of that on my plate with mash if he keeps serving that up this season.
Trent was the first name on the teamsheet at that price I expected him to be 8m and their was even talk of him maybe hitting 8.5m, the rest are just too damn cheap although I know the odd player may go AWOL, I can afford one @b3 as a non player, same as I had a non player there all last season too.
Keeper was Ryan but not sure I can bring myself to go for a Brighton keeper as my stalwart in goal, so am going for a Leeds gamble, 2.2% have picked him early doors, I may go back to Ryan who knows Nyland is the cheapy non playing reserve who may see time, but probably not, the other option is Button who I had all last season.
1m ITB for any eventualities
Its decent early doors but we'll know the fixtures tomorrow, so could all change!

Weren't too far off, just a couple of United to replace.
Probably Meslier too, although promoted sides usually put up a good fight earlier on, before they tire and start getting belted.

Yep damage control is slight with this side with just the 1 hit the 2nd week and keep Auba and swap for Kev week 3

Your right a rethink is in order as I think Meslier is too much of a risk away to Pool

Meslier has to go now, away to Pool week 1 so I might bite the bullet and bring in Arry's-a-blagger Auba for Kev and Ings in for Martial

Very Crafty! Good planning mate, take note vsberlina I had Kepa before everyone else. Then youse made me dump him for a 4.5. Werner away to BRI GW1. BRI the new Stoke. I'd rather stick to my Mane @ home to LEE. Then he's at home, but to the best defence in the EPL for the last 2 seasons. There's no need to take risks IMO. Lots of good, proven players to fit into the team and allow seamless transfers after.

Kepa now looking an ok option amongst the limited keepers we can pick for week 1, just happens to have ok fix's up to week 5 aswell, is he worth the extra half though over say McCarthy or Ryan, jury's out.
He's probably the only real risk in my side, because of that I'm willing to overlook his lack of Prem experience and hope he hits the ground running, his goal record is outstanding with 28G 8A in 34 matches, I'm hoping he brings that form to the EPL, the general consensus on new signings is to wait, but my sausage and mash senses are telling me to back the German Bratwurst

Which orifice will it be entering? Come in. Pool have the best defence over the last 2 seasons. Why spend 9.5 on an unknown, unsettled player vs top defence, when you have proven players like Vardy and Jime as alternatives? Jime got 1G and 3A in his two games vs City last season. I'd rather take a punt on him and save my unit. Will Werner get 190 this season? I doubt it, but we're all ignoring that VVD will. It's all about perception. Werner is a tulip, and it's tulip mania. I'm not getting sucked in.

Pool do but the Bratwurst will breach that orifice I'm sure
You will get sucked in when he braces in the first 10 minutes, he'll be straight in your side before half time Nope as I say he's probably the only risk in the side, so am happy to go with him.
I'm still mulling over a 3-5-2 anyway so nothings set in stone at the mo Netters is worrying me though, he's changing his team so many times a day by the time matchday comes he'll be in the nuthouse (gabbling something about "should have gone with Maximin" over and over, "and is there a bar in this place")
