The LIV Fab Five from the back got a combined zero score. Who'd have thunk. Not me, that's for sure - happens again this week and I will be worried. Might prove useful to've held Aguero for this week, but no room for Auba which could be bad...
GW31 is going to be challenging, at least 'pool have a game. Looks like the DG is W30. Those faced with a dilemma in whether to hold Salah and Mane, or dump for Auba and Aguero now have the best of both worlds. Get to keep the Pool duo this week, then flip for Auba and Aguero. Robbo going MIA might have solved a few formation headaches as well. Wish all weeks were this easy. |

What a crazy game. TAA gets benched, so I start Soyuncu away, when the other option was Grealish at home.
I went for form over fixture. The result, only an 18 pt turnaround. -8 to 10. LOL.
Poor Dirk. Got Jesus in but had to bench him. Then when he got 25, he took at Martial for a filler. Martial got 20 anyway. LOL.

Had a decent season in the end... finished up 6th overall which was a little disappointing, but did the double - won the S11 Elite League by miles and also won the S11 Regular League. Gotta be happy with that.

Gotta be happy with that. Well done mate. Very tough leagues to win. How'd you go in any public leagues? I finished 5th in mine. LOL. S11 got 1st and 3rd in the league rankings. We did well as a group also. Managed to recruit a player 'Corn Cobbers' from the public league. He finished 161st and is a keen player. I think he'll add value to S11 next season if he turns up. There were a few other decent players, but no others responded when I posted interest around Xmas. Did you get an email from them for prize money? Dirk did. He also won The eliminator by 1pt. Reckons it's an extra $200. I had totally forgot about Eliminator comp. Blimey. $275 isn't too bad an effort for a guy that doesn't know that much. He owes me dinner for my advice, whether it was good or bad.  |

I took myself out of the public leagues before the season started, just wanted to focus on the S11 leagues and overall position. I find if you're in too many H2H leagues you end up making moves in one that kill you in another, so I just focused on trying to retain my Elite League title from the previous season and trying to win the Main S11 League. Main League was closer in the end than I'd've liked, though, I lost three on the bounce before winning in the last week, although points difference would have gotten me over the line even if I'd've lost that one.
Didn't get any emails from them, guess I didn't win any prizes. If Dirk won Eliminator, I guess I got eliminated somewhere along the line (I'd forgotten about it, too). Good on him, though for winning it!
I'll open it up when I see it's up next time around, will invite the same groups to start with and we'll see who else we can get. Anyone else is welcome.

Given we have limited transfers, I just make moves I think will be best long term. Once a good team is established, hopefully the weekly wins will come. Having sub options and multi bites at capt is what mostly makes the weekly results happen. Got this from Dirk before. "I have even better news for you. I've since found out that the second placegetter is from the UK, and hence ineligible to win any prizes, so you have been bumped up the prize winner table and you will receive $400 in total ($200 for finishing second and $200 for winning Eliminator)." I guess that explains why you haven't gotten prize money in previous years as well. Cheers. I wasn't coming back but I think I will. Dirk's back for sure. I've taken screen shots of the overall final positions of our leagues. Priority should go to S11 confirmed members, then unknowns, depending on finishes over past years. |

We won 3 on the trot then the last two or did i miss one. Bluto is back around so might be keen for the S11 normal - his traveling urges (work and play ) are severely limited so we might have his attention for more than 25 games next year.

Not bad. Had 2 dead weights in S11 which ultimately dragged us down. If Bluto pays a little more attention and this new guy Corn-Cobbers continues to show interest (I'm confident he will), we should do the double. Now that Dirk won money, I'm excited too (Can't wait for lockdown to be over cos he owes us shouts at Laksa King and Dumplings Plus). Gives me incentive to do better. Though given his game plan, (don't do much for 10 weeks and ghost it up) less might be the way to go. Not sure about titles. We've definitely won the last 2. There was a threepete somewhere. Would be nice to have just S11ers though. Dunno who half the peeps are. I think they've all straggled in from public groups I was in over the years. |

There was definite 3peat - think it was 14/15/16 from memory (its in my old signature i think but thats gone !!!!!! )
most of Elite is still S11 isnt it
The history of this S11 overall was we had 20 guys - 10 from Down Under (my old group) who joined in with S11 and people i grabbed from the Sportal forum and The Final Whistle - Guru Matt was a top 10 gun and until he stopped playing and Bluto was a top 25 player also.We gradually moved out the locals and grew the S11 database which led to the 3 titles. Things change tho - people move on hence the extras you've grabbed . From the original group i think Doc /Me /maybe Crazy are the only originals....Ryan Came later /SC even played on year i think too, but its certainly different ~!!
Also at the time this was considered everyone's 2nd game to Yahoo so it was hard to get people to play to the ELite Level - we seem to have that now but need some extra quality in S11 normal
