Problem is, what if Bilva & Aguero go MIA? Better have a City DEF, unless they go MIA too.  You know it'll happen. Bilva & Sterling went MIA, but then so did Walker who would have been the City defender cover. I don't really want a City defender, the 'pool trio do the job and Maguire was cheap as chips when I picked him up and provides some adequate cover. Shaw's a bit useless, but still. Anyway, it's Pep, you just have to roll with the punches, I think. Managed 151 with 9 players so turned into an OK week. Quite pleased Sterling didn't come on in the end because it didn't cost me in H2H or Eliminator and his value wasn't hurt since he'll be the likely one who goes for Mane.
Why didn't you get Aguero in? I was surprised at that.
Apart from sleeping (it was 3.30am when team news was announced), I had already done my 2 FTs. Got Vardy for Iheanacho and dumped Pope for Schmeichel. Some crumbs for my effort, but I ended up with MIA Sterling. Given Rico and Walker also went MIA, I did well not to interrupt my sleep for literally nothing. Can't have everyone, but not having Aguero at 6m is a sin. I got punished to hell for it this week. It was him, Salah or Vardy. Had the coin, so went to the party... that got cancelled. I just hope many captained KDB as I did, so it wasn't twice as bad. Hoping long term, that Vardy will come good again. But it seems the Foxes are running out of steam. This season, I've picked the wrong time to jump on and off players. Hope I don't jinx Pool, cos I'm loaded with them. |

Amazed to see I won my H2Hs and Eliminator ties When I looked on Sunday morning, I felt sure they were done and dusted in my opponent's favour. Yeah, I just had enough so did it (after I cashed in Rico for Soyu too  ), hoping Aguero would go up in value due to last week and I could flip him for Mo. It was a great move, and getting Mo cheap looked a bet too, until the last minute clearance and goal. I thought I had you pinned by the testicles, but then Vardy came along and spoiled my gimp party. 28 pts blown away and that was the end of that, given we had 4 differentials. Now I can't even flip Vardy for Mo (more losses on him than the stocks during GFC). Though I note it's not a DG this week. They've put the DG the following week. Given Vardy has a nice game and Mo a tough one, I still might get lucky. The DG for Pool just got better, as I'd rather they had the home game vs Soton than the away game vs WOL. S11 now 2nd. We've got the double again. Elite pulling away at the top. |

Dirk wanted to get Barnes last week for Tielemens. I talked him out of it.
Tielemans was rested and subbed on whilst Barnes started and scored.
Now Barnes has a goal and an assist and it's only HT.
We usually go out on a Thurs night, but we happened to go out last night as some guys were unavailable Thurs this week.
Probably the only luck I've had this week. He'd have killed me for sure.
His 10th overall. This would have been a nice differential. Doh!

Quite a few on my $hitlist - Yakubu is still there from the Yahoo days... a few others including Sigurdsson, Mahrez (though he went a little way towards redempton earlier in this season), Snodgrass et al remain. Maddy is heading that way.

Can't believe we can't find 5 decent MIDs this season. Maddy will stay for me, simply cos I can't find anyone better... and my transfers are getting less and less. With LEI now not having the bye (that saved my bacon big time as I'm filled to the brim with Foxes), it's another reason to hold him. I ended up dumping Aguero in the end. Needed the cash and his recent record away to Spurs is poor, and he's got a bye in 28. If he doesn't get crocked, he might come back, or I might punt on Sterling getting some form back towards the end of the season. He's due. Dirk has a shedload of transfers. Brought in AOX and Gomez for maximum benefit, and he has Salah viced. 95 pts from the spare game. I doubt there's better than that around. He's a good chance now to finish in the top 10 by season's end. Just goes to show, this game is more luck than skill.  |

I love it when a plan comes together I love it too, but if it relies on luck, it's not that great. Getting Bobby was the right move. Sterling card and crocking was just bonus. LIV came good this DG. Anyone that loaded up early and got Bobby, Hendo, AOX, Gomez and Allison (to then have practically a full LIV squad) would have done extremely well. In fact, long term, it might not be a bad game plan. I think LIV will continue to play their strongest side and go for a record EPL win. 9 Pool and 6 others would give a fair bit of diversity. There's not that many alternatives either, so it probably won't hurt you. I don't have the transfers to risk it, but Dirk does. Bugger's got 17 left with 13 weeks. Can play fixtures easily. |
